The 5 Brown-classical music's first family of piano virtuosos began their '08-09 season with their second tour of Japan followed by a nationwide U.S. tour in support of their latest CD Browns in Blue. Their latest effort features atmospheric classical and jazz-inspired piano music, performed with the sublime virtuosity that propelled these twenty-something year old siblings-Ryan, Melody, Gregory, Deondra and Desirae-to the top of the nation's classical music charts. With Browns in Blue, they extend their individual and collective mastery of the pi ano and their command of classical repertoire through a series of emotionally complex works by Rachmaninoff, Brahms, Chopin, Debussy and Saint Saens to the jazz-influenced contemporary masterpieces of Gershwin. The 5 Browns are exclusive Steinway artists and will bring 5 Steinway pianos to Williamsport for this concert. The Browns were the first family of five siblings ever accepted simultaneously to the Julliard School of Music. They have appeared on "The Tonight Show", "The View", "Martha Stewart Show" and in the Ny Times, Parade, the LA Times and the Sunday London Telegraph. They have played for sold out audiences across the United States and abroad. |
