Kathy Kolb, Vice President

Computer swap meet:
We held a discussion on holding a computer swap meet next year. It was
decided that the key issues will be advertising and choosing a location
with ample parking. Suggestions were made of possible locations. A
suggestion was made to hold drawings for door prizes as well. We need to
work on a plan, and organize volunteers.
Computer Recycling: (Giving old computers new homes)
Willis Beaver rescued 5 monitors for the club, 3 of which were cheaply
repaired for use at $20.00 each.
Bill Hitchens has a lot of system and application software available for
community computer projects. Our concern is the legality of software reuse.
We would need to have the disks, license and manuals in order to legally
utilize it. A suggestion was made to donate it to SCROUNGE.
The Horizon House in Lock Haven is still on the list for a system.
Alan Cawley volunteered to attempt repair of Fritz Fedorko's 286 which he
wants to give to a certain non profit group.
