Our next meeting will be held on Monday, June 17, at 7 PM, in the Technology Branch of the James V. Brown Library at 123 East Fourth Street. This will be an informal gathering of members. 

Our last meeting was opened on January 21, 2002 by President Geoffrey S. Knauth.

• Larry Willits from Computer Co-Op was unable to give his presentation about 802.11 wireless LAN. It will be rescheduled.
• Geoffrey S. Knauth described his experiences with 802.11 wireless LAN again. He has found that a CISCO wireless networking card works better than other brands.
• Netscape 7 has been released in beta. New features include support for favorites icons, P3P privacy policies, and tabbed web page views. http://channels.netscape.com/ns/browsers/7/
• You heard it here first: SONY will soon be shipping the Playstation 2 Linux Kit in the US.
