The Mission Statement
To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and particpate in sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Anthony Fischetti is a Special Olympic athlete from Cogan Station, PA. He is 23 years old and comes from a big family. Mom Alice and Dad John run the family to many places and events. Anthony has been competing for about 7 years. He has competed in athletics, snowshoeing, basketball, and long distance walking. He has been to Juniata, St. Francis, Fall Festival and Summer Games at PSU. He has accumulated about 74 medals from these various competitions.
When he is at home, he helps with the Family Zoo. There are chickens, horses and many other animals, including a llama.
Anthony’s cross training varies with whatever job he is doing that day. He is always in a good mood and works hard to improve his times and distances. He is so much fun to be around and the other athletes enjoy Anthony too.
We wish Anthony good luck as he starts another athletics season and every other sport he does.
