Lycoming County Facts and Figures <Top>
Presently 175 athletes and their unified partners are afforded the opportunity to train and compete in 15 different Olympic-style individual and team sports throughout the year.  Our year is divided into three seasons: Summer, Fall, and Winter with each season offering specific sports.  The summer season is the busiest with athletes participating in aquatics, athletics, basketball, equestrian, softball, and tennis,  The fall sports offered are bocce, bowling, long distance running, long distance walking, power lifting, roller skating, and volleyball.  In the winter, cross-country skiing, floor hockey, and snow-showing are the sports of choice. Athletes are required to train a minimum of eight weeks before they can compete in the local events.  After competing at the local level, athletes can be selected to attend regional and state competitions.
