Source - This special collection of consumer health books may
ba accessed through the main library.
Reference Services - Fast facts by telephone (326-0536) and a collection of newspapers, magazines and reference materials for in-library research are found in the Reference Department. Special collections include the local history and the small business collections as well as an extensive phone directory collection. Interlibrary Loan - When a book is not available in our collection it may be available from another library. We can request it for your use in most cases. Internet Access - Free public access to the internet is available. Users under 18 need parental approval. Call to schedule your time. OWL - On-line with Libraries - Use electronic databases providing up-to-date information on colleges, scholarships, business data, health information and full-test magazine articles. Public Computers - Several microcomputers are available for users 14 and older. These machines include wordprocessors, spreadsheets, and home CD's. Schedule your time at the library services desk. Children's Computers - Several machines are dedicated to educational programs for teens, elementary and pre-school children. Schedule your time at the childrens desk. Literacy Program - The Lycoming County Literacy Project is based at the library. Students and volunteers wanting to work to improve basic reading skills may call the library's Literacy Coordinator at 321-0200. Bookdrops - Two convenient bookdrops let you return books before and after hours. Please return ONLY BOOKS in the bookdrop. There is a charge for videos or CD's placed in the bookdrop. Library Catalog - Our Electronic Catalog lists all library holdings including books, audio books, CD's, and videos. Materials owned by the Hughesville, Muncy and Konkle libraries are also listed. Local History - Is a section of our Electronic Catalog indexing selected citations to articles in local newspapers and other publications. Delivery Service - Van service between the county's public libraries allows you to return books borrowed from one library to any of the other libraries listed. Video's and CD's should be returned to the lending library. |
