LAPS Needs a New Home !

Lycoming Animal Protection Society still needs a new shelter facility. The current shelter was only intended to be a temporary one until a new facility could be found or, preferably, built. LAPS has been in the present building since 1995 and needs to move on in order to remain viable.

It has now come to the time where LAPS either needs to obtain a new shelter building or has to contemplate phasing out the shelter itself until funding is available to buy land and build a new shelter. We would all hate to see that happen as it means many cats would no longer have a place to go and be cared for and safe until adoptive homes can be found.

If you have land to donate, LAPS would be very grateful. A donation of property would be a great start to a new shelter facility. It would mean that the organization would not have to raise funds for land and a building at the same time.

As you all know, money is always in short supply in a non-profit organization. All money that is donated to LAPS currently is needed to care for the cats in the organization's care. There is never money left over to put aside for a building fund.

If you have a great inspiration for a fund drive, the organization is in need of your thoughts. If you would like volunteer to run the fund drive, please give the organization a call. LAPS volunteers are usually busy in the shelter taking care of the kitties and do not have a lot of spare time for big fundraising ideas.

Please give this appeal a lot of thought. Lycoming Animal Protection Society has been in existence since 1992. Wouldn't you like to help it continue to provide aid to homeless felines far into the future?
