Our next historical society meeting will be on Monday, October 15 at 7:30 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church Social Hall, Main Street, Hughesville, PA. Thomas Eddy will present a program on the history of the jewelry store located on Main Street, previously owned by Brady Bartlow, Harold Eddy, Daisy Barto, and Sheila Barto.

"From Many to One..." woven afghans featuring one-room schoolhouses are still available for sale. Schools featured are: Frenchtown, Gortner, Picture Rocks, Point Bethel, Rickarts Grove, Starr, Strawbridge, Villa Grove, and both the old and new Hughesville High School. To place your order with the society, mail your request and a check to them (made payable to the East Lycoming Historical Society for $50.00 each plus $6.00 for shipping and handling).
