Environmental Directory of
Northcentral Pennsylvania
is a
cooperative effort between the Environmental Advocates of Northcentral PA and
Lycoming Audubon Society. Working together for our natural world.
The purpose of this directory is threefold. Primarily, it identifies
organizations, clubs,
special interest groups and individuals within
Lycoming County and the surrounding area that
are concerned with the environment
of Northcentral PA.
Secondly, the directory identifies groups and individuals that provide programs to the general public. It serves as a resource for program planning at all levels: public and private schools, home schooled children, youth groups, service organizations and other adult groups.
Finally, by providing this comprehensive listing of environmental groups of Northcentral PA this directory serves as a guide for anyone wishing to create cooperative activities within the environmental community, for example; hosting an environmental fair, creating a nature center, building a nature trail or uniting for a single purpose.
In whatever way you choose to use this directory we hope that it brings you
closer to the natural world of Northcentral
Pennsylvania. Even more importantly, we hope that it creates opportunities for
you to bring a child closer to the marvelous world of nature, to awaken an
individual’s sense of responsibility, and to encourage stewardship of our land.
