This page is for adding your web site URL to the Susquehanna Valley Community Net search engine database. The usefulness of a search engine depends on the accuracy of the data in it. Please follow these guidelines:

  • Please try a few searches on the search engine first to get a feel for how your information is presented back to the public from the database.
  • Web Site must be located in the Susquehanna Valley region - other sites will be not be accepted.
  • Keywords and Descriptions must be accurate, entries misusing the intent of the search engine will not be accepted. 
  • One entry per web site only. For sites that have subsections (under the same URL), mention all subsections in the description and keyword fields.
  • Web Site content must meet or exceed community standards for decency (no adult rated sites).
  • Please keep track of your sites' names, email address referenced and passwords, you'll need these to get back in to update your listings after they've been accepted (in case you want to change something in your listing).
  • Search engine listings are a courtesy service. Service is not guaranteed.

 

How this works: This regional search engine has been custom programmed by volunteers at Kolb Net Works, Inc. After you enter in your data, you'll automatically receive an email confirmation and your information will be placed in a temporary file. A Susquehanna Community Net volunteer will then visit and review your site for determination of acceptance. After determination, the volunteer enters an administration area online where they can accept or decline the submission. You'll receive notification automatically when your site is reviewed. If accepted, the site data is automatically imported into the public database for searches. It's our hope that this system will ensure the links are accurate and up to date.
